What they are
The Solfeggio set is a group of nine tones — 174, 285, 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852 and 963 Hz — popularised from a medieval chant scale and later mapped onto modern wellness practice. Each tone carries a traditional association, and that association is what most people are actually working with: a clear statement of intent, repeated in a calm state.
The tones in this app
- 396 Hz — releasing guilt and fear. Used when the mind is braced for something bad.
- 417 Hz — facilitating change and undoing stuck situations.
- 432 Hz — tuning to a natural, harmonious reference rather than the concert standard of 440 Hz.
- 528 Hz — the "repair" tone, associated with transformation and renewal.
- 639 Hz — connection, relationships and reconciliation.
- 741 Hz — cleansing and intuition, often used for protection work.
- 852 Hz — returning to spiritual order and inner alignment.
- 888 Hz — abundance and prosperity, widely used in manifestation practice.
- 963 Hz — pure consciousness and the sense of being connected to something larger.
Choosing a frequency
Pick by the state you want to move toward, not the problem you want to escape. If anxiety keeps you braced, 396 Hz paired with rain is a good starting point. If you are rehearsing a future you want, 888 Hz or 963 Hz with a cosmic drone keeps the mind open rather than analytic.
A note on evidence
Solfeggio tones are a contemplative tool. The measurable part is what happens around them: slower breathing, steady attention, repetition of a chosen sentence. The tone is the anchor; the practice is the work.
